I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually proceeding.
